Research from Medical University of Vienna, Division of Cardiology has provided new information about thrombosis risk factors

New research, "Low high-density lipoprotein cholesterol predicts cardiovascular events after carotid stenting: a long-term survey," is the subject of a report. "Apart from advanced age, little is known about predictors of the long-term outcome after carotid artery stenting (CAS). We sought to determine whether atherosclerotic risk factors predict the long-term outcome after CAS. We enrolled 532 patients assigned for CAS," scientists writing in the Journal of Thrombosis and Haemostasis report.
