Scientists at Medical School, Department of Nephrology publish research in vascular disease genetics

Current study results from the report, "Paraoxonase activity in glomerulonephritic patients," have been published. "Cardiovascular disease is the most common cause of morbidity and mortality in patients with chronic renal failure. Glomerulonephritic patients have an increased risk for cardiovascular disease, but its etiology is unclear," investigators in Bursa, Turkey report.
