Reports from Shinshu University, Department of Pediatrics add new data to research in gene therapy

Research findings, "Expression of bactericidal/permeability-increasing protein requires C/EBP epsilon," are discussed in a new report. According to recent research published in the International Journal of Hematology, "Bactericidal/permeability-increasing protein (BPI) is a 55-kd cationic protein found mainly in neutrophil primary granules. BPI shows cytotoxicity against Gram-negative bacteria."
