Scientists at Onassis Cardiac Surgery Center detail research in magnetic resonance

Research findings, 'Myocardial and hepatic T2* magnetic resonance evaluation in ex-thalassemic patients after bone-marrow transplantation,' are discussed in a new report. According to recent research from Athens, Greece, "Bone marrow transplantation (BMT) is the only complete cure for b-thalassemia. Iron depletion therapy is still required to remove excess iron, accumulated before BMT."
