Study findings from University College broaden understanding of acute pancreatitis

"Acute inflammatory response is a complex process associated with the production of both pro- and anti-inflammatory mediators. Although it is generally considered to be a single homeostatic mechanism, there are differences associated with the nature and the site of inflammation," researchers in Dublin, Ireland report.
