New chronic lymphocytic leukemia research has been reported by scientists at University of Pennsylvania, Medical Department

"The somatic hypermutational (SHM) status of the immunoglobulin heavy-chain variable (IgV(H)) gene is a powerful prognostic factor in patients with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). However, IgV(H) SHM analysis is not well-suited to routine use in the clinical diagnostic laboratory," scientists in the United States report.
