Golden Meditech Donates HKD 4 Million to Earthquake Victims

Golden Meditech Company Limited (8180.HK) ("Golden Meditech" or the "Company") announced that it has donated a total of HKD 4 million to the Red Cross Society of China (inter alia, HKD 1 million cash and HKD 3 million worth of much needed medical device) to help those victims in one of the worst known earthquake in China's history, which devastated Wenchuan County and its neighboring areas in Southwest China's Sichuan Province on May 12.
The Company is also committed to donate an earthquake-proof "Project Hope" primary school as part of the regional reconstruction program, according to KAM Yuen, Chairman of Golden Meditech.
