Studies from Medical University of Vienna yield new data on cytomegalovirus

According to recent research published in the Journal of Medical Virology, "Human cytomegalovirus (CMV) is a major cause of disease and transplant dysfunction in lung transplant recipients. Simultaneous emergence of more than one CMV-genotype can occur, and appears to be disadvantageous for the patient."
