According to recent research from Perugia, Italy, "Repeated episodes of hypoxia, hypercapnia and transient blood pressure elevation in obstructive sleep apnea syndrome (OSAS) may damage neutral structures and induce cerebral metabolic impairment. This study aimed to determine the impact of OSAS on cerebral metabolites measured by H-1 magnetic resonance spectroscopy (H-1 -MRS)."
