New hyperbaric oxygen findings from Second Military Medical University described

New investigation results, 'Hyperbaric oxygen preconditioning alleviates myocardial ischemic injury in rats,' are detailed in a study published in Experimental Biology and Medicine. "It has been shown that after ischemia-reperfusion, application of hyperbaric oxygen (HBO) reduces cardiac injury. In this study we tested the hypothesis that HBO preconditioning reduces injury to the ischemic myocardium," scientists writing in the journal Experimental Biology and Medicine report.
