According to a study from the United States, "The objective of this article is to determine the relationships between board members' involvement in prescribed activities of boards of directors and the performance of public transit systems. It analyzes the degree to which board members are involved in prescribed activities of boards of directors as an indication of their effectiveness using self-rated survey responses."
