Scientists at Ghent University publish new data on sepsis

"Severe sepsis is the major cause of mortality in intensive care units (ICUs). The BOOST study (= B (Belgian) 00 (open Label) ST (Study)) is a Belgian open-label trial designed to pragmatically assess the safety and efficacy of Drotrecogin Alfa (activated) (DAA), the only registered treatment in this indication with favourable ratio benefit/risk," investigators in Ghent, Belgium report.
