According to recent research from Montreal, Canada, "Recently, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services issued a national coverage determination that limited erythropoiesis-stimulating agents (ESAs) utilization in patients with chemotherapy-induced anemia (CIA). This study evaluated the impact of limiting the use of ESAs for CIA on the US blood supply margin."
