New knee replacement data have been reported by scientists at Norfolk and Norwich University, Institute of Orthopaedics

Current study results from the report, 'Is a tourniquet beneficial in total knee replacement surgery' A meta-analysis and systematic review,' have been published. According to recent research from Norwich, the United Kingdom, "Proponents of tourniquets postulate that they optimise intra-operative visibility and reduce blood loss. This study compared the outcomes of tourniquet assisted to non-tourniquet assisted total knee replacement (TKR)."
