Scientists at Medical University of Vienna, Department of Periodontology publish new data on angiogenesis

Fresh data on angiogenesis are presented in the report 'Proliferation, behavior, and cytokine gene expression of human umbilical vascular endothelial cells in response to different titanium surfaces.' "Success of dental implantation is initially affected by wound healing of both, hard and soft tissues. Endothelial cells (ECs) are involved as crucial cells in the angiogenesis and inflammation process of wound healing," scientists writing in the Journal of Biomedical Materials Research Part A report.
