New investigation results, 'Human exercise-induced circulating progenitor cell mobilization is nitric oxide-dependent and is blunted in South Asian men,' are detailed in a study published in Arteriosclerosis, Thrombosis, and Vascular Biology. "Circulating progenitor cells (CPC) have emerged as potential mediators of vascular repair. In experimental models, CPC mobilization is critically dependent on nitric oxide (NO)," scientists writing in the journal Arteriosclerosis, Thrombosis, and Vascular Biology report.
