New findings from University of Naples in the area of hepatitis C virus therapy described

New investigation results, 'Leukocyte interferon-alpha and ribavirin for treatment of chronic hepatitis C patients intolerant to pegylated-interferon,' are detailed in a study published in Internal and Emergency Medicine. "Treatments for chronic hepatitis C (CHC) patients intolerant to pegylated interferons (peg-IFNs) are lacking. Thus, such patients remain at high risk of developing an advanced and decompensated liver disease," scientists in Naples, Italy report.
