Studies from University of Thessaly, Department of Immunology reveal new findings on cord blood

New investigation results, 'Cord blood as a source of non-senescent lymphocytes for tumor immunotherapy,' are detailed in a study published in Journal of Reproductive Immunology. According to recent research from Greece, "While proof of concept that the immune system can be harnessed to attack cancer cells has been established, only a minority of patients are cured with immunotherapeutic regimens designed to enhance host autologous immunity.
