Researchers detail in 'Bioactive stratified polymer ceramic-hydrogel scaffold for integrative osteochondral repair,' new data in biomedical engineering. "Due to the intrinsically poor repair potential of articular cartilage, injuries to this soft tissue do not heal and require clinical intervention.
