Studies from I. Lobo and colleagues yield new information about erythema

Fresh data on erythema are presented in the report 'Glucagonoma syndrome and necrolytic migratory erythema.' According to recent research from Portugal, "The glucagonoma syndrome is a rare disorder, characterized by necrolytic migratory erythema, elevated serum glucagon levels, abnormal glucose tolerance, weight loss, and anemia in association with a glucagon-secreting alpha-cell tumor of the pancreas. We present a 67-year-old diabetic patient with extensive cutaneous lesions, weight loss, and poor glycemic control."
