Study Data from Catholic University Update Understanding of Leukemia

2011 JUL 7 -- According to the authors of recent research from Seoul, South Korea, "We analyzed the clinical and hematologic data of 231 patients diagnosed with de novo myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS), identified cytogenetic characteristics, and evaluated the significance of prognostic systems. The median age was 51 years and the distribution of MDS subtypes demonstrated a markedly low incidence of MDS with deletion 5q (0.9%)."
