Studies Conducted at Tri-Service General Hospital on Plastic Surgery Recently Published

2011 JUL 14 -- In this recently published article, scientists in Taipei, Taiwan conducted a study "To provide an alternative choice for covering trochanteric pressure sores, we report on a modified pedicle anterolateral thigh (ALT) myocutaneous flap based on the descending branch of the lateral circumflex femoral artery. From August 2007 to January 2010, 20 consecutive patients (10 men and 10 women) underwent 21 pedicled ALT myocutaneous flaps for reconstruction of trochanteric pressure sores."
