Studies from Nanyang Technological University Yield New Data on Rock Engineering

2011 JUL 21 -- "Explosion gas plays an important role in rock mass fragmentation and cast in rock blasting. In this technical note, the discontinuous deformation analysis method is extended for bench rock blasting by coupling the rock mass failure process and the penetration effect of the explosion gas based on a generalized artificial joint concept to model rock mass fracturing," scientists writing in the journal Rock Mechanics and Rock Engineering report.
