Research from University of Tokyo Has Provided New Data on Sepsis

2011 DEC 29 -- In this recent report published in the Journal of Surgical Research, researchers in Tokyo, Japan conducted a study "To examine the effects of pioglitazone, peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor-gamma (PPAR-gamma), on mortality and omental adipocyte function in mice with cecal ligation and puncture (CLP). Male mice were assigned to receive (1) vehicle/sham-operation, (2) pioglitazone/CLP, or (3) vehicle/CLP."
