Uterine serous carcinomas may metastasize due to retrograde transtubal implantation

According to investigators in the United States, "Most endometrial carcinomas metastasize by invading myometrial lymphatics and spreading to regional lymph nodes. However, uterine serous carcinomas metastasize frequently to peritoneal surfaces even when only minimally invasive."
