New cancer gene therapy study findings recently were published by researchers at Chinese University of Hong Kong

Researchers detail in "Epigenetic inactivation of the deleted in lung and esophageal cancer 1 gene in nasopharyngeal carcinoma," new data in cancer. "Deletion of the short arm of chromosome 3 is a common event in nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC), suggesting that one or more tumor suppressor genes at 3p are involved in this cancer. DLEC1, Deleted in Lung and Esophageal Cancer 1, located at 3p22.2, was recently identified as a candidate tumor suppressor gene in lung, esophageal, and renal cancers," scientists in People's Republic of China report.
