Clinical Trials of Oral Vaccine Against Peptic Ulcer Disease

OraVax Inc. announced the initiation of a Phase I clinical trial at the Centre Hospital Universitaire Vaudois in Lausanne, Switzerland, of its oral vaccine against Helicobacter pylori.

H. pylori is the bacteria which has been recognized by the U.S. National Institutes of Health, the World Health Organization (WHO) and the worldwide medical community as the principal cause of peptic ulcer disease and gastritis.
