Cell Technology's Natural Gene Repair Mechanisms

Oncor, Inc., Gaithersburg, Maryland, and its majority-owned subsidiary, OncorPharm, Inc. announced its exclusive licensing of a U.S. patent application on DNA repair.

The patent is assigned to Yale University by the inventor Peter M. Glazer, M.D., Ph.D., Assistant Professor of Therapeutic Radiology at Yale University School of Medicine.

The patent application covers methods of repairing mutations in living cells, using triple-strand oligonucleotides linked to DNA-interacting drugs, such as alkylators, intercalators or strand-breakers.
