NDA Submitted to FDA for Drug To Treat Cancer Pain

Cytogen Corporation, Princeton, New Jersey, announced the submission of a New Drug Application (NDA) with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) seeking approval to market Quadramet, a cancer therapy agent developed as a treatment for the severe and chronic pain associated with cancer which spreads to the bone.

Quadramet (Samarium-EDTMP) is a radiopharmaceutical drug containing the radioisotope samarium-153, that targets actively forming bone and concentrates in areas that have been invaded by cancer.
