"Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia with a Secondary Acute Myelogenous Leukemia."

According to an abstract submitted by the author to the American Society for Clinical Laboratory Sciences' Annual Meeting and Clinical Laboratory Exposition, held July 17-22, 1995, in Anaheim, California, "Patients with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) are known to have increased risk of developing a second malignancy, presumably because of their defective immune systems. Reported malignancies are usually solid tumors, including melanoma, soft-tissue sarcoma, and colorectal and lung carcinoma.
