"Methyl-Glyoxal-Bisguanylhydrazone (MGBG) in the Treatment of Relapsed AIDS Related Non Hodgkin's Lymphoma (AIDS NHL)."

According to an abstract submitted by the authors to the 19th International Congress of Chemotherapy, held July 16-21, 1995, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, "As antivirals and antibiotics are prolonging the survival of patients with AIDS, the incidence of NHL is increasing in this population. First line therapy results in remission rates of 20-50%, but relapse is common. MGBG has been shown to have activity in patients with non-AIDS NHL while having minimal myelosuppression. We are currently treating patients with AIDS NHL who fail a first line regimen on a phase II protocol using MGBG at doses of 600-900 mg/m2 IVPB on day 1 and 8, then once every two weeks until CR plus 4 doses...
