According to an abstract submitted by the author to the 35th Interscience Conference on Antimicrobial Agents and Chemotherapy, sponsored by the American Society for Microbiology, held September 17-20, 1995, in San Francisco, California, "Groups of 7-9 adult neutropenic patients with fever refractory to appropriate antibacterial and 4 days of antifungal therapy were given I.V. L-NYST, at escalating doses of 2mg/kg/d (9 pts), 4 mg/kg/d (7 pts), 6 mg/kg/d (7 pts), and 8 mg/kg/d (9 pts), for a median of 8 days (1-77d). 32 pts were enrolled (M/F:26/6).
