$100 Million Contribution to Cancer Research Announced

Jon M. Huntsman announced the contribution of $100 million to the Huntsman Cancer Institute at the University of Utah, Salt Lake City, the largest financial contribution ever to medical research and the second largest cash gift in the history of higher education in America.

In ceremonies on the site where the Institute's new building shortly will be constructed, Huntsman also announced that he and his family have raised an additional $51 million from other sources, bringing the total financial contribution to the Huntsman Cancer Institute to $151 million.
