Results of Irinotecan Reported on at Conference

Rhone-Poulenc Rorer Inc. (RPR), Paris, France, announced that Campto (irinotecan), an innovative new anti-cancer agent, has demonstrated significant activity in the treatment of advanced colorectal cancer, according to research presented at the 8th Annual European Cancer Conference (ECCO-8).

"Phase II clinical trials conducted in Europe, the United States, and Japan confirm that Campto has significant activity in advanced colorectal cancer," said Dr. Jean-Pierre Armand, one of the principal clinical investigators of Campto at the Institute Gustave Roussy in France.
