Experts Unveil Treatment Guidelines

Panels of cancer experts, representing 13 of the nation's leading oncology research and treatment centers, unveiled clinical practice guidelines for treating all stages of breast and lung cancers.

The guidelines were presented to an audience of more than 500 attendees at the first annual conference of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN). Additional panels presented NCCN practice guidelines for treating leukemia, as well as cancers of the prostate, ovary, colorectum and pediatric cancers during the three-day event.
