FDA Clearance Received for Etoposide Chemotherapy Agent

Immunex Corporation, Seattle, Washington, announced that it received marketing clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for etoposide injection (also known as VP-16), a generic cancer chemotherapy agent indicated for the treatment of refractory testicular tumors and small cell lung cancer.

"Etoposide advances our strategy of providing our customers with a broad range of oncology products - including tools for the diagnosis, treatment, and supportive care in cancer treatment," said Michael Kranda, Immunex.
