In order to explore gene therapy as a new treatment modality for HCC, Hanzian Huang et al., of the Baylor College of Medicine, established an orthotopic cancer model by intrahepatic implantation of a HCC cell line in syngeneic mice. Results were presented at the 87th Annual Meeting of the American Association for Cancer Research, held April 20-24, 1996, in Washington, DC.
