"An Allogeneic Tumor Vaccine Fails to Survive in the CNS."

According to an abstract submitted by the authors to the 87th Annual Meeting of the American Association for Cancer Research, held April 20-24, 1996, in Washington, D.C., "We found previously that treatment of C57BL/6 mice (H-2b) mice with intracerebral (i.c.) glioma, or melanoma, with allogeneic LM mouse fibroblasts (H-2k) genetically modified by retro-viral transduction to secrete IL-2 led to prolonged survival and the induction of specific anti tumor cellular immune responses (Neurosurgery 36:548, 1995).
