Rapid Activation and Expansion of Antiviral and Antitumor CTLs

Madhusudan V. Peshwa and colleagues at Activated Cell Therapy Inc., Mountain View California, report the development of a new protocol for the expansion and activation of CD8+ cytotoxic lymphocytes (CTLs).
Peshwa et al. reported their findings in the journal Biotechnology and Bioengineering ("Generation and Ex Vivo Expansion of HTLV-1 Specific CD8+ Cytotoxic T-Lymphocytes for Adoptive Immunotherapy," Biotech Bioeng, 1996;50:529-40).
