"Effects of Immunization Against GnRH in Animals and Prostate Cancer Patients."

According to an abstract submitted by the authors to the 10th International Congress of Endocrinology, sponsored by the International Society of Endocrinology and the Endocrinology Society, held June 12-15, 1996, in San Francisco, California, "One approach in the development of male contraceptives is to suppress spermatogenesis through active immunization against gonadotropin releasing hormone (GnRH). A gonadotropin releasing hormone-tetanus toxoid conjugate (GnRH-TT) was prepared by reacting (Gln1)-GnRH with tetanus toxoid in the presence of water soluble carbodiimide.
