According to an abstract submitted by the authors to the 3rd International Congress on Drug Therapy in HIV Infection, held November 3-7, 1996, in Birmingham, United Kingdom, "Non Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL) is one of the diseases indicative of AIDS. Between 3-10% of AIDS patients are at risk of NHL. The incidence is increasing with the prolonged survival of AIDS patients due to good treatment of opportunistic infections and effective prophylactics. From October 1993 to May 1996, 272 patients were hospitalized in the Centre of AIDS Diagnosis and Therapy in Warsaw. There were 206 IVDU's, and 38 homo/bisexual men.
