According to an abstract submitted by the authors to the 4th International Meeting on Hepatitis C Virus and Related Viruses, Molecular Virology and Pathogenesis, held March 6-10, 1997, in Kyoto, Japan, "The existence of an association between HCV infection and B-cell type non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL) has been previously suggested.
