LIFE-Lung Fluorescence Endoscopy System Licensed for Japan Market

Xillix Technologies Corp., Richmond, British Columbia, Canada, has received regulatory approval in Japan to market the Xillix LIFE-Lung Fluorescence Endoscopy System for the early detection of lung cancer. The approval by Kohseisho, the Japanese regulatory authority, was based on data from clinical trials conducted at the Tokyo Medical College and Kyoto University Hospital showing that physicians' ability to detect cancer improved by 66 percent when the Xillix LIFE-Lung Fluorescence Endoscopy System was combined with conventional white light bronchoscopy.
