"Enhanced Immunogenicity of Tumor-Specific Immunoglobulin (Idiotype)-Pulsed Dendritic Cells using a Chimeric Idiotype-GM-CSF Fusion Protein."

According to an abstract submitted by the authors to the 88th Annual Meeting of the American Association for Cancer Research, held April 12-16, 1997, in San Diego, California, "Dendritic cells (DC) are potent antigen-presenting cells being evaluated as cellular adjuvants for vaccination against tumor-associated antigens. The unique variable region sequences of B cell lymphoma cell surface immunoglobulin (idiotype, or Id) can serve as a tumor-specific antigen, as vaccination of humans or animals with Id protein results in protective anti-tumor immunity.
