Survey Indicates Comparatively Significant Health Risks for Korean Americans

The first-ever telephone survey of Korean Americans about their behavioral risk factors indicates significant health risks for five of 10 preventive health practices, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reported.

The survey was conducted in Alameda County, California, where Asian/Pacific Islanders comprise 15 percent of the population; Koreans account for 5 percent.
