According to an abstract submitted by the author to the 3rd European Conference on Gene Therapy of Cancer, held September 11-13, 1997, in Berlin, Germany, "A new approach to cancer immunotherapy has been designed that takes into account the regulatory requirements for the induction of cytotoxic T cells. Help required for activation of precursor CTL and stimulation of effector CTL is, under physiological conditions, provided by helper T cells and, thus, depending on T-T cell collaboration in addition to the interaction of both cells with antigen presenting cells.
