According to an abstract submitted by the author to the 3rd European Conference on Gene Therapy of Cancer, held September 11-13, 1997, in Berlin, Germany, "A new approach to cancer immunotherapy has been designed that takes into account the regulatory requirements for the induction of cytotoxic T cells. Help required for activation of precursor CTL and stimulation of effector CTL is, under physiological conditions, provided by helper T cells and, thus, depending on T-T cell collaboration in addition to the interaction of both cells with antigen presenting cells. Initial studies on the prerequisite and mechanism of this cell collaboration has revealed an epitope linkage requirement...
