U.S. Patent Received for Antigen Associated with Skin Cancer

Cytoclonal Pharmaceutics Inc., Dallas, Texas, announced that it has received a U.S. Patent for an antigen (protein) associated with malignant melanoma, a form of skin cancer. The antigen and related proprietary monoclonal antibody are being developed for diagnosis and treatment of malignant melanoma. Skin cancer incidence continues to rise. An early diagnostic test could permit early intervention of this potentially lethal form of skin cancer.
