Gene Therapy/Chemotherapy Combination Tested Against Hepatocellular Carcinoma

Researchers tested a new therapeutic approach against human hepatocellular carcinoma which combined p21WAF1 gene transfer with anti-cancer agents.

M. Horimoto, representing colleagues from the Osaka University School of Medicine, Japan, presented the team's latest research at the 48th Annual Meeting of the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases, held November 7-11, 1997 in Chicago, Illinois (abstract "New Therapeutic Approach against Human HCC by p21WAF1 Gene Transfer Combined with Anti-Cancer Agents").
