'Cracked' Adenoproducer Cells Used in Cancer Gene Therapy Approach

'Cracked' adenoproducer cells may be the tool of the future for protein-gene delivery for cancer therapy.

M.C. Esandi and colleagues from Leiden University, IntroGene BV, and Pathologisch Laboratorium, The Netherlands, established a new method of anticancer cytokine gene therapy using lysed adenoproducer cells ("IL-1/IL-3 Gene Therapy of Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC) in Rats Using 'Cracked' Adenoproducer Cells," Gene Therapy, June 1998;5(6):778-88).
