"Outpatient Chemoimmunotherapy for Patents with Metastatic Melanoma."

According to an abstract submitted by the author to the 8th International Congress on Infectious Diseases, held May 15-18, 1998, in Boston, Massachusetts, "Aggressive inpatient protocols of chemoimmunotherapy for metastatic melanoma have yielded encouraging response rates but have required lengthy hospitalizations. To reduce or eliminate the need for hospitalization, we developed an outpatient regimen of chemoimmunotherapy, and assessed its response rate and toxicity. Eligible patients with measurable metastatic melanoma received BCNIJ 150 mg/m2, DTIC 660 mg/m2, and cisplatin 75 mg/m2 in an infusion center every 3 to 4 weeks (BCNU every 6-8 weeks) with...
